They introduced one of the first consumer-oriented 3D printers and helped make the technology more accessible. MakerBot's user-friendly interface and educational initiatives have made it easier for beginners to enter the world of 3D printing, contributing to the overall growth of the market. Prusa Research, led by Josef Prusa, has been instrumental in developing open-source 3D printers that offer exceptional performance at an affordable price. The Prusa i3 printer, in particular, has gained popularity for its high-quality prints and extensive community support. Prusa Research's commitment to open-source principles and constant improvement has led to advancements in printer design and technology, benefitting the broader 3D printing community.The emergence of Creality Ender 3 has allowed more enthusiasts to access the 3D printing field at a low cost, greatly reducing the entry barrier for printing. The software development by Bambu lab has made 3D printers easier to use, enabling more beginners to easily embark on their 3D printing journey.

Founded in 2014, QIDI Tech was very honored to join the 3D printing community. Although we were very small in the beginning, we are the first Chinese 3D printer supplier who working with Amazon directly. Regarding Open Source and Patents

As mentioned above, 3D printing would not be where it is today without the open source community. We will learn from Nintendo and use the patents as shields, not spears. Behind every mass-produced 3D printer is the daily and nightly hard work of all Qidi staff. We enjoy the process of solving the problems with the design and mass production of 3D printers, and we also enjoy the community of 3D printing users and enthusiasts sharing their experiences and idea. That's why we insist on open source and won't let patents affect the community. Today’s new generation of young people may not know about Nokia, once the world's number one selling mobile phone company. We all know that Nokia wasn't beaten by their cheap clones or imitators.
