QIDI New Filaments
There is an old Chinese saying: “To do a good job in advance, you must first sharpen your tools.”In the journey of printing, high-speed 3D printers are sports cars, and filaments are gasoline. Simply put, faster print speeds require higher quality filaments to match.
Qidi Rapido Filament
PLA and ABS are the most common materials used in FDM 3D printers, since their stable performance and low price are deeply loved by many enthusiasts. In order to make the performance of PLA and ABS more adaptable to the needs of high-speed printers, we have improved them and created Qidi Rapido Filament.
The overall formula design is to allow PLA and ABS to reduce printing problems such as stringing, edge warping, and clogging under the condition of high-speed printing. While bringing high-quality printers to Qidi users, there are also high-quality supporting filaments, allowing users to bring a silky printing experience.
New High Performance Filaments
In addition to the improvement of PLA and ABS, two commonly used 3D printing materials, many high-performance materials are also improved, since they have better mechanical properties adapting to more demanding conditions, and can be used in various fields such as racing cars, drones, and industrial components.
Qidi Tech PETG-Tough Filament
PETG filament is very suitable for functional 3D printing, since its high strength, relative flexibility, temperature resistance and impact resistance are loved by 3D printing enthusiasts. The favorable characteristics of PETG make it ideal for objects that may be subject to constant or sudden pressure. When PETG is used as a 3D printing material, it has the advantages of both PLA and ABS. Low printing temperature, almost no smell, low material shrinkage, good dimensional stability, and no warping occurs are all reflected in PETG. In short, it remains a great consumable choice for printing objects that need to be strong, smooth and low shrinkage. After toughness modification, Qidi PETG-Tough Filamen with outstanding toughness and high strength impact resistance breaks through the limitations of traditional PETG, reaching more than three times the impact strength of ordinary PETG. Under the same printing conditions, PETG-Tough requires less extrusion pressure, so it is more suitable for ultra-high-speed printing. One disadvantage of PTEG is that it is hygroscopic, which means ease to absorb moisture in the air, resulting in various printing problems. Therefore, PETG is provided with vacuum aluminum foil packaging which is more waterproof than ordinary plastic packaging bags and can be stored longer.
Qidi Tech ABS-GF25 Filament
ABS-GF is made by mixing ABS resin and glass fiber, which improves the heat distortion temperature and mechanical properties of ABS, reducing the molding shrinkage and linear expansion coefficient. It is used to manufacture products that require high dimensional accuracy. Although its impact strength is significantly lower than that of pure ABS, its rigidity, heat resistance, weather resistance and dimensional stability are significantly improved, providing the possibility of outdoor use.
Qidi ABS-GF25 is a new type of ABS-GF filament with a double-layer structure. On the basis of increasing the content of ABS-GF glass fiber to 25%, its surface is coated with a layer of pure ABS resin with high bonding strength. Thus, it retains the original matte and anti-warping properties of ABS-GF materials, while further improving the interlayer bonding performance of materials. The problem of weakened interlayer strength of ABS-GF materials is solved, making ABS -GF upgraded to an all-round functional consumable. Compared with ordinary ABS-GF, ABS-GF25 increases the interlayer bonding strength in the z-axis direction to 30Mpa, which ensures that Qidi ABS-GF25 retains the interlayer performance of ABS to the greatest extent, and also retains the original matte and anti-warping properties of ABS-GF material. Regular ABS-GF is prone to spilled filament glass fibers, forming "burrs", while the ABS resin coated on the outer layer of Qidi ABS-GF25 greatly reduces the phenomenon of floating fibers on the surface of the model, making the printed parts feel smoother and no longer “sticky”.
Qidi Tech PET-CF Filament
Qidi PET-CF is a PET-based carbon fiber reinforced composite material that can meet the extreme stiffness requirements of users under certain working conditions. Qidi PET-CF is a combination of 15% carbon fiber and 85% PET, which has the characteristics of low moisture absorption, high strength, creep resistance, solvent resistance and high heat resistance. During the printing process, PET-CF has good dimensional stability, no warping, no shrinkage, no smell, and no need for environmental insulation. Due to the addition of 15% short carbon fibers, Qidi PET-CF enhances the original rigidity and chemical resistance of PET. Carbon fiber PET filaments have higher rigidity and strength than ordinary PETG filaments. The fiber reinforcement technology not only greatly improves the mechanical properties and heat resistance of the material, but also releases the internal stress during the printing process through the fiber mesh structure, so that the printed parts have good dimensional stability and will not warp. Qidi PET-CF is characterized by low hygroscopicity and the moisture absorption of this carbon fiber reinforced PET is only 0.5%. Therefore, moisture had no effect on the mechanical properties and dimensional stability of PET-CF. The excellent creep resistance of PET-CF can make its 3D printed parts less prone to deformation under long-term stress conditions, making it suitable for high-strength and lightweight application environments, such as vehicle engineering, aerospace, industrial finished parts and other fields.
